Does CitizenDS send my data anywhere (over the internet, to the cloud, etc.)?
CitizenDS never sends your uploaded data anywhere. The data you upload into CitizenDS stays entirely on the machine from which you uploaded it. We don’t transmit your data over your Wi-Fi, nor do we send your data to any cloud server.
But the download page says CitizenDS needs access to the internet. What for?
CitizenDS is a software as a service hosted through Microsoft. Consequently, to check whether there are updates to the software or to see whether your subscription is valid, we have to use the internet. We promise that we never use your internet to transmit the data you upload into CitizenDS for analysis.
Can I run CitizenDS on my Mac?
Sadly, not at this time. If you have a Windows virtual machine or Parallels installed on your Mac, then yes, but our software only runs on the Windows operating system (for now).
Can I use any language in CitizenDS?
Unfortunately at this time, CitizenDS is only set up to handle English characters.
